En riktigt schyst liten ljudbrygga/webbradio som både låter bra och bjuder på en del nytänk.

The Logitech Squeezebox Radio is a nicely designed device for listening to your music from anywhere in the house. As a bonus, it lets you access all sorts of online content, both audial and visual. The Radio is powerful enough to fill a bedroom or office, although it’s lacking in bass. Our biggest complaint is that the system's interface makes it very difficult to deal with large music collections or to access the unit's many options.

A confusing interface and rigid ties to individual music libraries hold the Squeezebox Radio back a bit. But once you have it set up, limitless music from online and local sources sounds sweet.

A handy portable wireless music player that ticks all the right boxes the useful 'accessories' at extra cost, seems rather stingy.

Hugely appealing; a genuine alternative to the day-to-day ease of a DAB radio

    Plus

    • Looks good
    • Sounds good
    • Easy enough to use the menus
    • Mac and PC support

    Minus

    • Not UPnP
    • Local music depends on server PC being on
    • Doesn't have a standard tuner in it

Conclusion The Squeezebox Radio offers a good rounded package at a price that is reasonable value for money. We would have preferred to see a FM or DAB tuner to give the Radio some offline functions and, whilst we like the options that the Squeezebox Server brings, for some Windows users and those with a network media drive, you might decide you'd rather take the simple approach through UPnP. For those with a Mac music collection, it's nice to see decent Mac integration from Logitech.Overall there isn't much to dislike about the Squeezebox Radio. We've picked at a few points, but when it comes to the crunch, it’s a simple device, with oodles of potential, that sounds great.

    Logitech Squeezebox Radio Review

With the rash of recent A/V components integrating the plethora of web related, streaming audio content into their feature set, Logitech has been streamlining their delivery of the same content in their Squeezebox series. The Squeezebox Radio is Logitech’s most recent release into this field. The Squeezebox (MSRP: $199.99) comes packaged in a small box and wrapped in light plastic packaging. It also comes wrapped in a thin plastic film designed to keep smudges off the finish. The piano black, glossy finish (also available in red) is very susceptible to fingerprints and dust is very visible as ...
