    Slutsats

    erbjuda.

  • LG G6 review

    Plus

    • Great screen
    • Water-resistant body

    Minus

    • Older chipset
    • Removable battery gone
    • Expensive for what's inside

    Conclusion
The G6 is a great phone from LG, one that pushes the brand back to the forefront of the smartphone pile in terms of design and screen. However, some odd choices to go with lower-spec performance and not upgrade the camera in a meaningful way while still charging a huge premium make this a tough sell.

ConclusionOverall, the versatility of the LG G6 is unquestioned. This is a phablet, that feels like a standard phone. It has a set of cameras that adapts to your surroundings like no other dual-camera combo in the market. Best of all, it sports a design that will turn heads no matter where you go.I wouldn’t call it perfect. It brings the hardware that I need in order to actually drop my second phone, and use just one device for both communicating and content consumption, but the software still needs work. The battery could sure use Android 7.1 for better longevity, and LG also needs to re-think its user interface if it truly wants to push ergonomics to the next level. Most of the presentation we received from LG focused on how well it would be to use this phone with one hand, but reaching menu items at the top of such a tall display is truly a challenge, even for hands as large as mine. What´s funny is that LG did have features like these in previous G flagships, so all it needs is to bring them back. For everything else, I’m going to close this review by inviting you to go to a store and hold one for yourself. This is really a product that’s hard to describe on a video, or through a text review. Try it out. I’m sure that’ll help you understand why this product is worth your money. Conclusion The LG G6 is no doubt a striking smartphone. Metal and glass shimmer while the huge 18:9 screen is impressively brought to life with the improved software and its rounded corner design. It is a more refined smartphone than both the G4 and G5, and should appeal to a broader audience – even if its features aren’t the same globally. There’s a lot to cover with the G6, and it’s a complicated phone to assess. The differences in hardware and the tweaks in software mean that is a phone that reveals itself to you slowly than the immediacy of, say, a Samsung Galaxy S. The design looks uniform at first until you realise how well it all comes together. LG has quietly managed to build a mature phone with next to no bezels and some genuinely unique tweaks to software, leaving it feeling fresher and more creative than any Android phone we’ve seen for a while. The age-old question for LG though – will people buy it?

LG G6 review: A truly great, trend-setting and underrated flagship

    Plus

    • Impressive design
    • Standout 2:1 display
    • Easy to hold in one hand
    • Great dual cameras

    Minus

    • Not loads of 2:1 content yet
    • Some issues relative to aspect ratio

    Conclusion Despite its up-and-down G-series history, LG has knocked it out of the park with the G6. Enough to make us half forget the modular "Friends" approach of last year's G5. Whether that spotty history is enough to get you back on board with the series is another matter, but as flagship phones go LG is a standout for all the right reasons.The software is lightweight and easy to customise, the dual camera system offers a lot of versatility and is of comparable quality to the Google Pixel and Samsung Galaxy S7 edge. The build, performance and display were all up there with the best available at launch too.Of its premier features the 1:2 aspect ratio screen might sounded bonkers at the time, but took no time to become the smartphone norm in the following 12 months. The aspect ratio does cause one or two issues with some games and apps, but rescaling them can overcome these teething issues.All in all the LG G6 is a great phone that's every bit the flagship. It's biggest problem, however, was that almost as soon as it launched, Samsung wowed us all with the Galaxy S8. Samsung's phone was comfortably one of 2017's best phones, giving the G6 no time to show its qualities to consumers. Despite being shunted from the limelight by Samsung, the G6 is still worthy of your attention.Alternatives to consider...Pocket-lintSamsung Galaxy S8The Galaxy S8 and S8+ were launched right after the G6 and were comfortably two of the best phones launched last year. Samsung pushed the boat with not only some of the best hardware performance around, but also stunningly elegant design that looked good from any angle. The camera also happens to be one of the best all-rounders we've ever seen on a smartphone. Read the full review: Samsung Galaxy S8 reviewPocket-lintOnePlus 5TLike the G6, the 5T has an 18:9 ratio display, except this is larger at 6.01-inches, and way more vibrant thanks to its AMOLED panel. It's roughly the same price as the G6, but is far more powerful and has Dash Charge, which is an amazing fast-charging technology. Read the full review: OnePlus 5T reviewPocket-lintiPhone XIf you're after the ultimate in zero bezel design, few companies have managed as big a screen-to-body ratio as Apple with the iPhone X. Saying that, the "notch" at the top is certainly dividing opinion, as is the huge $1,000 price tag.  Read the full review: iPhone X reviewgoogletag.cmd.push(function() { googletag.display('SA-Unit14'); });
